Our story

Named for transformation

Like a butterfly, every child’s growth happens in its own time and its own way. Our name is a promise: to create the calm, nurturing conditions where that transformation can unfold naturally.

We blend the beauty and independence of Montessori education with autism-informed practices — predictable routines, sensory-aware spaces, and individualized support — to serve children ages 2–6 here in Houston.

Our classrooms are intentionally small and calm. Teachers get down at eye level, notice the little things, and adapt the day so each child can participate in a way that feels right for them.

Meet our founder

A school I wish every child could have

Hi, I’m Courtni Dobbins. Growing up with ADHD, I know how challenging it can be to learn in a classroom that wasn’t built for the way your mind works. I often struggled to feel like I had a place at school — and I’ve never forgotten that feeling.

I set out to become a pediatric nurse. But when I couldn’t find the support my own child needed, I had to take a different path — one that led me into pediatric therapy, and to the children and families I’m so grateful to serve.

Both of my nephews are on the autism spectrum. Watching their mothers search for the right school, and struggle to find one, was heartbreaking. Metamorph is my answer to that search: a place where children are understood, families are supported, and every child belongs.
